The Smash the Cake photoshoot is more than a trend. It's a symbolic celebration of your child's first life cycle. An invitation to freedom, spontaneity, and childhood in its purest form—when you allow yourself to play with a cake, it becomes a lifelong memory.

It's there, in front of the camera and a fluffy cake, that your baby shows how much they've grown. Some look curious, others shy... but all, without exception, gift us with genuine gestures, sincere smiles, and looks that say it all—even without words.

There's whipped cream in the hair, dirty little fingers, loud laughter, grimaces, and surprised looks. There's the touch of the cake, the sweet smell in the air, and the parents' hearts bursting with love behind the camera. Because, deep down, what's being captured isn't just a photoshoot; it's a real moment, full of emotion, that marks the beginning of so many stories to come.

In this session, the baby will pose first with the parents and then start having fun making a mess with the Cake and Fruits. There is still a bathtub waiting for them. This session is stress-free for the parents. Let the baby enjoy and make sure we capture the chaos and joy of your baby’s first year of life with a fun and creative cake smash photo!

In the Studio, I will provide a variety of outfits and decorations to create the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable moment. You do not need to bring anything regarding decoration.

Observations

Smash the Cake sessions are designed mainly for your kid's first birthday, but they can be done at any time between 6 and 18 months. They can be scheduled from Monday to Sunday, at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m.

I don't provide the Cake due to personal differences in sugar, ingredients, and/or allergies.

After the photoshoot, I'll send you a few of the best shots within seven business days so you can have a sneak peek. Then, I'll upload a gallery with all the images onto my system within seven days, and you can choose your preferred selection according to your package. Once you've made your choice on the system, I'll get to work on editing your photographs, and you can expect them to be delivered within 30 business days.

Add-ons: 

$18 per extra edited picture added to the selection.

I only provide this session in the Studio.

Travel fees of $0.60/km will apply to In-home Sessions to all locations that exceed 50 km of travel round trip from the Studio at Lanark St.
