Soft Neutrals, Sage Touches, and the Sweetest Family Moments
This session was such a cozy one.. the kind of gallery that feels calm, timeless, and full of heart. Everything stayed very “my style” (simple, clean, artistic), but with enough variety that the final set feels rich and complete.
The colours.. soft, calm, and so timeless
We kept the palette super neutral and airy, with:
-
creamy whites and warm beige tones
-
soft sage and muted greens for that natural, organic feel
-
gentle textures (wraps, knits, linen) to add depth without looking busy
It’s the kind of colour story that looks beautiful now, and will still look beautiful 10 years from now on your walls.
Variety without losing the clean look
Even when we keep everything minimal, we can still create lots of different “looks” just by changing small details. In this gallery we mixed:
-
wrapped newborn poses and cozy, relaxed moments
-
the classic bucket setup (always a favourite)
-
a few teddy + neutral props for that sweet baby feel
-
a full sage-green scenario that adds warmth and personality
-
close-ups for tiny details, plus wider shots for the full scene
So you get a lot of variety, but the gallery still feels cohesive.
The family photos.. always my favourite part
The baby-only setups are adorable, obviously.. but the family portraits are what you’ll feel in your chest years from now.
Those little moments in your arms, the sibling cuddles, the way you naturally look at your baby.. that’s what makes the session truly meaningful. And keeping the background clean means your connection is the main focus, not a bunch of stuff around you.
A quick note if you’re planning your own session
If you love a soft, neutral, clean look like this, you’re going to love this kind of styling. It’s simple, it’s timeless, and it lets your baby (and your family) be the star of the gallery.
Warmly,
Fernanda Bautzer
