Newborn Photography in Calgary.. A Soft Lavender and Blush Session Full of Sweet Spring Details

There is something incredibly special about the first days of a baby’s life .. the tiny fingers, delicate eyelashes, peaceful sleepy expressions, and the softness that seems to make time slow down for just a little while.

This recent newborn session in my Calgary studio was filled with the most beautiful soft lavender, blush pink, and creamy neutral tones, creating a gallery that feels gentle, timeless, and full of warmth.

For this session, we focused on a beautifully wrapped newborn style, which is always perfect for preserving those early days while keeping baby cozy, safe, and peacefully asleep throughout the photoshoot. The delicate pastel colour palette brought a dreamy spring-inspired feeling to every image, with soft pink textures paired beautifully with touches of lavender florals and subtle ivory details.

One of my favourite elements from this gallery is how the styling remains clean and minimal while still feeling rich in detail. The carefully selected wraps, headbands, floral accents, and soft blankets all work together to create a timeless artistic look without overwhelming the baby, who is always the true focus of every portrait.

The basket setup with the lavender flowers and creamy textures added such a delicate and elegant touch. These types of classic newborn portraits are perfect for nursery wall art, baby albums, and keepsake prints that families will treasure for years to come.
