More than a holiday card
The winter-white studio brings together flocked trees, champagne ornaments, velvet bows and a little hideaway for children. I will guide every pose, keep children moving and leave room for the cuddles and laughter that make the photographs yours.

The 2026 Holiday world
Your session takes place in a fully built Christmas studio, with real trees, furniture and decorations you can touch. No printed backdrops. No digitally added scenery.
Every set is 100% real, from the ornaments to the space your children can explore. Holiday Mini IV also includes Santa Jeff, there in person to meet your family.
Scenario 01 · Light & refined
Snowy trees, champagne ornaments and burgundy velvet bows surround an ivory sofa and a little play tent. A bright setting for quiet cuddles, curious children and your family together.
Scenario 02 · Organic & warm
Deep evergreen tones, warm ivory furniture and oversized ornaments create a Christmas setting with beautiful contrast for cream, camel and black outfits.
Scenario 03 · Classic & joyful
Rich red tones, sculptural cream seating, presents and gold details make this the boldest Holiday setting. Beautiful with ivory, black, burgundy and festive pajamas.

Holiday Mini IV · The signature Santa experience
Meet Santa Jeff: a first-class professional Santa Claus, booked by some of Calgary’s finest photography studios.
Holiday Mini IV brings Santa Jeff to the studio in person on Friday, November 20, 2026, from 5 pm to 7 pm. During your family’s private session, children can talk with him, share their Christmas wishes and settle into a photograph at their own pace. An authentic Santa Claus experience, with the whole family welcome beside him.

Four complete directions
Each direction works as a starting point, not a shopping list. Mix pieces you already own and use the palette to keep the final portrait intentional.
White, cream, beige and camel mixed through knits, cotton, twill and corduroy—cohesive without looking identical.
Forest green, burgundy, cream and champagne with a little charcoal or black for a classic Christmas look.
Gray, brown, beige, white, champagne, cream and one fine stripe. Less coordinated, more naturally collected.
Black trousers, crisp white shirts and simple black or white dresses—the cleanest contrast for the red and green sets.
Cream, ivory, oatmeal, beige and light camel in soft knits, cotton, twill and corduroy. Explore four outfit ideas for each age group, including pajamas.
Forest green, burgundy, cream and champagne with a touch of charcoal or black. Festive, timeless and easy to coordinate without dressing everyone alike.
Warm gray, brown, beige, white, champagne and cream with one subtle stripe. This direction feels naturally collected and intentionally less coordinated.
Black trousers, crisp white shirts, uncomplicated dresses and clean pajamas. The strongest contrast for the evergreen and classic red scenarios.
What to avoid
Bold colours and patterns can draw attention away from your family’s faces. For a softer look, try cream knitwear, an ivory cotton shirt or beige twill trousers.
Cool blue can feel disconnected from the warm sets. Choose beige twill, cream corduroy or tan chinos instead.
Fluorescent tones compete with faces and can reflect colour onto skin. Keep colours warm, soft and muted.
Large plaid, stripes and florals together become visually hard. Use one subtle pattern at most across the family.
Big words and characters date the portrait and steal focus. Solid colours and texture photograph more timelessly.

At Fernanda Bautzer Photography’s studio at 231 Yorkville Rd SW in Calgary. We have our own parking directly in front of the studio, making arrival easy with babies and young children. Sessions take place indoors for comfort in any weather.
Holiday Minis run from October 20 through December 12, 2026, on weekdays from 5 pm to 7 pm and weekends from 2 pm to 6 pm. Available appointments appear in the online booking calendar. Santa Jeff joins us for Holiday Mini IV on Friday, November 20, from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Holiday Minis I–III focus on your family across one or more seasonal scenarios. Holiday Mini IV is a private, child-led experience with Santa Jeff in both the white-and-champagne and classic red environments, with 35 edited photographs. For every package, please arrive in one outfit per person and bring your own clothing.
Yes. The session is gently guided around each child’s age and comfort. Babies may be held by a parent or photographed safely with Santa, depending on their needs.
Every package is designed for parents and children in the immediate family. Extended family may be added for $54, for groups of up to eight people.
Yes. Pets may be added to any Holiday session for $54. Please mention the type and size of your pet when booking so the studio can prepare.
Outfits are not provided. Please prepare and arrive in one outfit per person. See our outfit suggestions for ideas using your own clothes. You may add one outfit change for $108, using a second outfit you bring; the change takes place within the scheduled 30-minute session.
Your private proofing gallery is sent in web resolution within three days of the session. Your edited final gallery is delivered within seven days from the date you submit your favourite selection.
Use the heart inside the proofing gallery to mark the photographs included in your package. You may add individual images, choose a discounted image bundle when available, or upgrade to the full edited gallery. Review your choices, then submit the selection for editing.
Every session includes the complete unedited gallery (our “RAW gallery”), delivered as web-resolution photos of approximately 70–100 KB each. You also receive the number of professionally edited photographs listed in your package. Upgrade to the full edited gallery, around 100 photographs, for $180.
A $50 booking fee reserves the appointment and is deducted from the package. Any optional extras selected at checkout are charged when you book. Rescheduling and cancellation terms are included in the photography contract completed during booking.
Available throughout the Holiday season
Any studio session photographed during the Holiday season may add access to one Holiday scenario. It is an easy way to combine your original session with a small seasonal story while the set is available. Santa Jeff is not included in this add-on.
