A White, Mauve and Big Brother Love Newborn III Session in Calgary
Angela's baby boy slept from the first frame of his Newborn III session to the last. We opened on white — plain backdrop, soft knit wrap, a small teddy tucked under his arm — and let the light do the work. The chin-on-hands portraits and the macro of his lashes are the quiet heart of this gallery.
The second setup brought colour: a dusty mauve wrap, a woven basket and eucalyptus laid across a white wood floor, plus a striped knit hat with a matching little bear. The family dog came and sat down beside the basket as though she had been asked to, and stayed there.
Then his big brother arrived and the session changed gear. He held the baby on the cream fur, kissed the top of his head, and was in no hurry to hand him back. Mum, dad and the whole family closed the gallery out.
