Before you book

Maternity questions, answered.

When should I book my maternity session?

Maternity sessions are usually photographed around 28–34 weeks. Share your due date when you get in touch so we can help you choose a suitable date. If you are expecting multiples or would prefer an earlier session, let’s discuss the timing.

Do I need to bring a dress?

The studio wardrobe of gowns, robes and lifestyle pieces is included with every package. We’ll confirm sizes and availability when planning. You are welcome to bring your own favourite outfits or cultural pieces.

Can my partner and children join?

Yes. Partner and family portraits are included in Maternity II, III and IV. Maternity I is an individual portrait session. Tell us who will join so we can plan the photographs.

What if I’m nervous about posing?

You do not need modelling experience. I’ll guide your posture, hands and movement, and we can adjust the poses to what feels comfortable for you.

Is makeup available?

Professional makeup can be added for $90 through a Sephora Beauty Advisor at Chinook Centre. Please request it while planning so we can coordinate the appointment.

Can we photograph outdoors or at home?

Studio + outdoor is available for an additional $180 with Maternity I, II and III, and is included in IV. In-home sessions are temporarily paused from October 2026 through the first quarter of 2027.

When will I receive the photographs?

Your viewing gallery is posted within 7 business days. After you choose your favourites, the final edited photographs are delivered within 30 business days. Express delivery in 3 business days after selection is available for an additional $108.

Where is the studio, and how do I book?

The studio is at 231 Yorkville Rd SW, Calgary. Choose a package above to see available dates. If you would like help choosing the timing, outfits or package, send Fernanda a message.
