Rainbow First Birthday Milestone Session in Calgary
There is something especially sweet about photographing a baby right around their first birthday.. that beautiful stage where they are full of curiosity, starting to show so much personality, and still have all those soft baby features parents never want to forget.
This lovely milestone session in Calgary was full of softness, colour, and charm. With a pastel rainbow backdrop, white balloons, delicate floral details, and the most adorable green dress, the whole setup felt light, playful, and timeless all at once. It was such a beautiful way to celebrate this little girl turning one.
One of my favourite things about this session was how gentle and feminine everything felt. The pastel rainbow brought in colour in a very soft and elegant way, while the white details kept the overall look clean and airy. The green dress added such a beautiful touch and stood out perfectly against the warm tones of the set. Sometimes the simplest combinations create the most magical results.. humans do occasionally stumble into good design.

This session captured so many beautiful expressions and little moments.. crawling, looking around with curiosity, sitting proudly, and enjoying the bathtub portion at the end. It felt natural, joyful, and full of personality, which is always the goal.
