When is the best time to take maternity photos?
Between 28 and 34 weeks. Your bump is beautifully round and you're usually still comfortable enough to move and enjoy the session. First baby? Lean toward the later end. Twins or measuring ahead? We'll plan a little earlier.
How much do maternity photos cost?
It depends on session length, number of outfits, and add-ons like an outdoor location or makeup. I keep pricing transparent and offer a few tiers — see the full breakdown in my maternity photo cost post.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel beautiful — and you don't need to buy a thing, because my studio wardrobe is included. Bring personal or cultural pieces you'd love to feature, too.
Do I need to know how to pose?
Not at all. I guide every pose, tilt, and angle from start to finish. Your only job is to relax and enjoy.
Can my partner, kids or pets join?
Yes to all of them. Just mention it at the consultation so we can plan the session around everyone (pets included).
Studio or outdoor — which is better?
Both are gorgeous. Studio gives reliable, year-round results; outdoor brings natural light and Calgary's beautiful parks. Many moms do both — I compare them in my studio vs outdoor post.
How long until I get my photos?
Your personalized online gallery arrives within about a week, with hand-edited high-resolution images to follow on a timeline I'll share up front.
How far in advance should I book?
Ideally a few weeks before your 28–34 week window. Popular dates — especially in warmer months — fill up early.
Is makeup included?
Makeup is an optional add-on through my Sephora partnership at Chinook Centre, perfect for an extra confidence boost on shoot day.
What if I go into labour early?
It happens, and we'll adapt. Booking in the 28–34 week window gives us a comfortable buffer, and I'll always work with you if life surprises us.
